Post-resurrection appearances
This article presents the ten appearances of Jesus after his resurrection, as recounted in the New Testament. From Mary Magdalene at the tomb to the apostles before the Ascension, including the disciples at Emmaus and more than five hundred brothers, these encounters attest to the reality of the resurrection and establish the foundation of Christian faith. The Gospel authors probably selected from among all these appearances.
Matthew 28.9-10 (King James Version) :And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.King James Version (1769), domaine public — texte : eBible.org

The Pharisees
The Pharisees, who appeared after the Maccabean revolt (165 BC), were an influential religious group of ancient Judaism. Devoted to the written and oral Torah, they believed in the resurrection and remained close to the people. Often in conflict with Jesus in the Gospels, they nevertheless produced figures such as Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea. Their teachings founded rabbinic Judaism after the destruction of the Temple in AD 70.
Matthew 23.23 (King James Version) :Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.King James Version (1769), domaine public — texte : eBible.org
